Taj Mahal & Flying Carpet Plane – Old Photo 1932

An old 1932 press photograph of a Biplane the “Flying Carpet” and the Taj Mahal. The biplane undertook a journey to the remote corners of the earth in 1932. Richard Halliburton, American author, and explorer and Moye Stevens, Pilot, were the sole occupants. Here the photograph shows the Flying Carpet over the Taj Mahal.

In their 1932 journey, Halliburton and Steve visited British India. In 1939 Halliburton purchased a Chinese Junk and while sailing from Hong Kong he and the crew went missing. Till today there are no whereabouts about them nor the exact location where they went missing is known.
