Parvati Hill Pune – Old Postcard 1910

This is an old 1910 postcard of the famous Parvati Hill and Temple of Poona, now Pune. The hill is 2100 feet in height from sea level and has a panoramic view of Poona. There are steps leading all the way to the historic Temple.

See at the bottom of the hill in the Postcard. It looks bare then, probably not the same now, many buildings and roads may have sprung up in these last 100 years. Parvati Hill is in the middle of Pune city with a panoramic view.  The Hill is the highest point in Pune with a height of 2100ft. Click on the photo for better view.

Did you know- there is also a museum near the Temple displaying ancient manuscripts, coins, war relics, idols, portraits, and weaponry of the Marathas.
