The book mentions the many British created buildings like the Government House, St Paul’s Cathedral, Howrah Bridge, and so on. There are references to the Great Eastern Hotel, High Court, Hogg Market, Calcutta’s Tramway, Writer’s building, etc. Some of the typical whites only clubs like the Bengal Club or the United Club are not left out.
