Dodabetta Point At Ooty or Ootacamund – Old Print 1880

This old Print Ootacamund/Ooty’s Dodabetta Point is a page from a book dating to around 1880. The pages measures- 10 x 7 inches. Dodabetta is not the highest peak in South India, Anamudi is the highest peak in South India. Read more- List of peaks in the Western Ghats.

Mysore plains and Chamundi hills are visible on clear days with telescopes kept for public viewing at Dodabetta. Even the plains of Coimbatore is visible on a clear day. I have included images of the front and back of the page.  The back shows an article written by an Englishman and is not complete.
