Britishers At A Badminton Party India – Old 1880 Photo
This is an old 1880 photograph of a British crowd probably at a Badminton Party. One of the earliest and rare photographs of badminton in the British India era. Notice on a closer look at two women in black skirts holding badminton rackets at extreme right. So assuming this is a club with a gathering of Britishers at a badminton party. A turbaned Indian attendant can also be viewed at extreme right. The white chalked lines of the court are also visible in the foreground.

Not sure of the exact location but possibly the cool hill stations of Ooty or Simla. It could also be Poona or Pune where the game was first played.
