British Cavalrymen Bangalore – Old Photo 1877

Old 1877 photograph of British Cavalrymen on their warhorses at Bangalore (now Bengaluru) Cantonment. Also visible are European and Indian onlookers,  watching from a colonial building in the back. The inscription on the bottom side reads “Garrison Course Bangalore 1876-77.” Probably on a training mission all set to leave with a contingent on horseback and field guns. Although the photograph is a bit faded and slightly torn but still gives a glimpse that was once under the British Raj. Bangalore Cantonment was the beehive of military and civilian activities.
