Extract- “It was the architects Edward Lutyens and Herbert Baker who designed the Parliament building. Both also had designed and planned the city of New Delhi, which was inaugurated in 1931. The Parliament Building formerly called The House of Parliament took six years to complete construction. There are three chambers in the Parliament building. These are the Council of State (Rajya Sabha),
Legislative Assembly (Lok Sabha), & Chamber of Princes (now a library)…” See many of my posts based on India’s parliament New Delhi- Aerial View of Parliament New Delhi – Old Print 1946., Inauguration Of New Parliament Building Delhi-Old Photo 1929. More posts on Edwin Lutyen’s Delhi will be added.
