Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple Trivandrum – Old Postcard

This is an old 1907 photo Postcard of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Trivandrum, or Thiruvanthapuram. This is a vintage Postcard from 1907. The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a Temple of mystery and wealth. There may be only a few who wouldn’t have heard about this Great Hindu Temple. After all the worldwide publicity it received because of the discovery of massive treasures in its hold.

There are six vaults under the temple all have been inventoried totaling a staggering wealth of Rs 1 lakh crores if not more. This makes it the Richest Hindu Temple in the world. Despite the fact, vault B is yet to be opened and inventoried. And believed to contain unimaginable wealth more than all the other vaults put together.

The temple is situated on an 8-acre property in the heart of Trivandrum. The Gopuram is shown in the background of the sprawling property. The Temple is one of the biggest and holiest in Kerala. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the solid gold idol of Vishnu is in the supine pose or in the state of eternal sleep.

The photo also shows a huge gathering of devotees, astounding to see this in a period going back to more than 100 years.

Did you know- Vault B is said to be the most mysterious and feared of them all.  It contains secrets and is believed to be guarded by huge cobras and opening it may bring in eternal curse and trouble, hence left alone.
