Rare 1912 Postcard Of The Titanic
This is a rare 1912 postcard of the famous ship the “Titanic”. Built in 1911 it created history because it was one of the world’s largest and most luxurious ocean liners ever built in its time. But unfortunately, the Titanic sunk after hitting an iceberg.
With an astounding length of 269 meters, they even boasted that this huge steel floating giant was unsinkable. The ship commenced on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York in 1912. With around 2,000 or more people on board, including some eminent personalities.
But around 11.40 pm the RMS Titanic struck a huge iceberg near the north Atlantic. The ship gradually began to sink within few hours time. By 2.20 am the giant Titanic lay at the bottom of the Atlantic. There is a message in English on the back of the Postcard. Not sure if the person who wrote the letter was a passenger on the Titanic.
