Vintage Oleograph Raja Ravi Varma “Laxmi”. It dates to 1910 and is from the Raja Ravi Varma Press. The frame measures 26 x 20 inches, weighs 2.5 kg. After Fritz Schleicher acquired the Press. The Press also made advertisement oleographs for many British India companies. Vinolia soaps and toiletries were imported into British India. Since the Raja Ravi Varma’s Gods and Goddesses oleographs had mass appeal throughout India. It was the best advertising solution any brand could have.
