Charlie Chaplin Signed Photo And With Mahatma Gandhi – 2 Old Photos

Two old photos, one image shows Charlie Chaplin as an actor-director. The other is a photo postcard that shows him with Mahatma Gandhi. As actor-director, he is seen in action in this 1975 news photo that was autographed by him. The actual photo is from the shoot from Charly Chaplin’s early days that appeared in the 1970 tv show “Masters of the Silent Screen”. The television show was a documentary on the comedians of the silent screen era.

The show featured clips of the silent screen era comedy films with biographical information of the stars. In which Charlie Chaplin was one of the artists. The other is a photo postcard of Chaplin with Mahatma Gandhi in London in 1931. Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi had also called on him when they visited Switzerland in 1953. India had a great fondness for Charly Chaplin and still has. This autograph was probably taken during his knighthood in 1975. Chaplin died in Switzerland in 1977.
