British Soldiers Club British Era Bangalore, 1900 Postcard
A 1900 postcard of the British Soldiers Club during British Era Bangalore (Bengaluru). Not sure if this club still exists in Bangalore. Perhaps it may be still functioning after a change of name or may have altogether closed down, although not entirely sure of its outcome. Since there are many social clubs in the city today most look different from what it was in colonial times. It would be nice to know if anyone has any further sort of information on this club.
See posts Bowring Institute Bangalore – Old Postcard 1895., and Bangalore Club In Bengaluru – Old Postcard 1905.
Notice the smartly dressed Indian guard outside the gate of the club and a British member in a sun helmet looking on.
